Our 30 new Dispatcher student computer workstations are all interconnected via a LAN (local area network) server, and have high-speed internet access. Students may access Jeppesen flight planning & aviation weather services, and have "real-time" flight tracking capabilities (actually hooked into the FAA's National Airspace System ASD network). Each student has personal e-mail, MSN Messenger Service, and unlimited, free long distance phone calls in the USA, via internet phone. Students and instructors access internet aviation web sites during training sessions.
